We spent most of yesterday doing some serious Spring Cleaning!
Because our house was built in the 1930's we have old storm windows that have to come off and be replaced by screens.
Mick and Spencer were great helpers, as was Mike.
We had another Raclette party last night with a bunch of people from our neighborhood.
It's always great to get to know your neighbors better.
Really gives you a sense of community.
The added bonus is that it gets Mike to help me clean things that wouldn't otherwise get cleaned...like the windows.
My uncle Ralph passed away on Friday.
He's been suffering from Parkinson's for some time now.
A sweet, gentle man...who played the bagpipes at my wedding.
He could play a mean banjo too!
We'll miss you Uncle Ralph.
Today is Mike's birthday.
We woke him up with the traditional singing birthday candle (and us trying to keep tune with it - which is much worse than an alarm clock) atop a maple bar.
We were planning on a big BBQ with friends - peppercorn steak, butter & herb salmon & strawberry shortcake. YUM!
Hopefully it will stop raining here soon and the sun will make an appearance.
Happy END of April EVERYONE!
