The Caution...and new products are two separate things...
We were taped last night. Mike and I both agree that being taped is much nicer than being papered. It's way easier to clean up a taping than it is to clean up a papering. We suspect it to be the work of Spencer's friends...Liz & Emma. So that meant that Spencer had to clean it up. LOL!
In the past, school shopping for the boys has usually been me buying a bunch of clothes and bringing them home so they can try them on, decide what they like and take back the rest.
This year, Mick, Spence and I went up to Park City to the designer Outlet Mall. We went to American Eagle first. THis is where I learned that Spencer liked clothes & shopping. He wanted to know what was in style and have me look at each outfit. He even gave up his old skanchy sandals for some cool flip flops.
Then we headed to the Polo outfit...we also did this same round while we were in Florida. Hitting Banana Republic, Nautica & of course, Gap. He picked up a cool watch at Fossill too.
Now if I can just convert Mick. He's a t-shirt and shorts kind of guy. No interest in polos or overshirts yet.
So this weekend I got to take Jessi's family photos.
She has the cutest dang kids.
Jaden is such a character. He was being bribed with the promise of toys...so the words "toy" and "dinosaurs" were used more often in these couple of hours than I've ever heard them used before.
I used my entire repretoire of sounds to keep cutie Grant looking my way. I've never barked so much in my whole life. I'm sure the other people down there hoped I would seek some psychiatric help soon.
Aren't their clothes great! I love the brown with the jeans.
Makes me wish my kids would wear brown cable knit sweaters again instead of raggedy old sweatshirts & t-shirts.
Last Friday at 2 peas, we did a garden girl flood.
I posted quite a few layouts that I'd finished up recenly.
These events are great for getting me to work on things that are sitting on my desk.
I've been trying to finish our Paris Album from our trip last October.
Here is one of those layouts. I'll post a couple more tomorrow.
We've had so much going on...I think it must be the time of year.
I've been working on a new kit for 2 peas. I love how it's turning out. Watch for some sneak peeks this week.
I had some serious dental work...it's never fun to go to the dentist. I'll be glad when it's all through. I'm paying for all those years I was a rebellious teen and didn't take care of my teeth.
Mike, Spence & Mick just got back from a backpacking trip.
The majority of the hike (at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon) was in snow. Mike said it was a 2000 ft vertical assent which wasn't too bad on the way up but very slippery coming down.
They pitched their tent in the snow and the boys slept well but Mike confessed that his 40+ body doesn't weather those cold hard surfaces as well as it used to.
When we looked over their cold weather gear from last year, none of the boys clothes fit they had grown so much. So it was off to REI to warm up that VISA card getting them outfitted for the winter. Thank goodness for sales.
The journaling reads: "At age 12 you show now sign of the usual pre-teen angst of not wanting to be seen with your parents. It will make me very sad if and when you ever change in this regard...so please don't!"
Yesterday was midmonth at Two Peas so that means new layouts and new digital kits.
I released 3 new kits.
French Laundry Paper Pack.
French Laundry Coaster Talk.
French Laundry Number Coasters.
Friday was such a busy day that I haven't had a chance to work on more layouts to show with these products. Hopefully I'll have some time to do that today.
It's pouring buckets here...rained all night.
Our smoke alarm started chirping at 2 am ...you know, that annoying sound when the battery is dying. We have vaulted ceiling in our bedroom and Mike is in Chicago with Ski. I couldn't reach the smoke detectorwhen I stood on a chair so I had to get Spencer up and have him fix it. He's over 5'10". He was a sweatheart to help me out rather than curse me out at 2 am.
He was able to go right back to sleep, but here I sit at 4:25, my usually waking up time...thinking of doing some scrapping or something else productive (well I am updating my blog...that's a start) instead of watching the Home Shopping Network and cruising EBAY.
ETA*** - i did finally scrap instead of going back to bed. I used my kits and some of Rhonna's new Snap Shot Flourishes that were released yesterday as well. The star is from Tia's 2ps2seas kit.
