A few weeks ago I started having problems with my new external hard drive which I've had for less than 6 months.
Sometimes it would load up and sometimes it would just cycle on one file and refuse to load.
This is the drive I store all my photos on (for the past 6 months) and all my design files when I'm making paper & other products.
I didn't think I would totally lose everything.
I thought that the computer techs could recover the files.
Well, they can, for around $2000!!!!!
I wasn't expecting that. I can't afford that. So I ended up loosing all of Ski's high school graduation photos, except what I've used in layouts.
I lost so my files and I don't even remember what all was on there. Everyday I find out something new that I've lost.
Chris Ford told me a couple of months ago how unreliable EHD's are and that you should always have them backed up. They are tempermental too and can't be near your monitor or scanner (which mine are) or exposed to heat.
So...learn from my mistakes and back up your files!
Okay...enough whining. We've all been sick this weekend. We also knew that big snow storm is headed our way so I drug the least sick of the boys (Mick) outside to help me bag as many of the remaining leaves as we could. I love our house. I love our trees. I even love being out there raking and bagging leaves. I know...it's sick but it's part of that glorious fall that I wished lasted 2 months longer than it does.
Here's a layout I did about this experience last year. As much as I enjoy it...the boys, well not so much. Although this year there was not an ounce of moaning or groaning. They just pitched in and did it.
I don't even know her name but she goes by jth on Two Peas and she lives somewhere in Utah.
She recently posted this layout on Two peas and I loved the design! I haven't seen a layout of hers I don't like. The girl has style!
I mean, look at that owl...how cute is that!
And the journaling...she had me laughing outloud.
So I decided to scraplift her and while I love doing digital layouts for so many reasons...there aren't any kits out there with an owl this cute &funky, so be kind when you see that my scraplift isn't near as cute as her original layout!
We had such a blast last winter sledding (kids) and taking pictures of the sledders (me). I still have a boatload of sledding pictures that I want to scrap.
I love the little pixie drawings that are from the new 2 Peas Pixie Props & Mischief that Tia did. I also used the following kits:
2 Peas Seasons Greetings (snowman), 2 Peas Sheer Delight (scalloped edges)& Summer Paper Pack (ruler paper), 2 Peas Vintage Newpaper (black scroll label), 2 Peas Nutcracker Suite (white ribbon & Joy), 2 Peas Sugar Plums font (winter), 2 Peas Pixie Props & Mischief (hats & heart), 2 Peas Winter Wonderland (green paper on strips), 2 Peas Full of Grace (white label), 2 Peas Krafty Boy (background paper).
