Cousin Heaven

None of my kids cousins live nearby with the exception of Pingpong2 Katie. My boys love Katie, but she's a girl and she has already graduated from college, so we don't see her very often.

One of my brothers, Sam,  who lives in Helena came down this weekend with his wife, Marlene and two of their boys, Jason & Drew.

Jason & Drew stair step McKean & Spencer in age. Last night they stayed up until 2 am.

Today it was out to the trampoline and then a game of "extreme ping pong," where basically you're trying to hit each other with the ball. Go figure...only boys would come up with that.

Pingpongextreme Pingpong I wish they lived closer. Once or twice a year is not nearly enough of a "cousin fix."

Stamps4 I am stalking the mailman because my shipment from Autumn Leaves hasn't arrived yet...hurry up maily man!

kit sneak peek

Cheesygrin Here are a few of the products in my two new kits that come out on Sunday, April 1st.(except the stitching, that's from one of Tia's new kits & the paint strokes on the side, those are from Rhonna's newest kit).

Babies!!!

Sage It's been baby time for both my family and Mikes.

Their have been 4 new babies born to our extended family in the past 4 months.

Meet Sage.

She is my nephew Michael & his wife Kim's first baby.

Isn't she adorable!!!

I got to hold her last week when she was just 2 days old and shoot these photos of her.

Sagei Jessi just took pictures of her today.

I can't wait to see them.

Jessi is an amazing photographer!

American Idol

What was with Sanjaya's hair last night?

I don't know what the hairdressers were thinking with that one!

This is a show that my boys and I watch together. We like to guess what the judges are going to say about each performance.

Our favorite singers are Blake & Melinda.

I think Sanjaya is a cute kid but not in the same league as the other singers.

We thought that Sundance & Stephanie were both better than him.

I'm excited about a couple of new digital kits I just finished up for 2 Peas that will go on sale on Sunday, April 1st.

I'm working on layouts for the garden for the 1st too.

I'll try and do a sneak peek in the next day or so. I've been working on some more stamps for Autumn Leaves (for a May release)and trying to get the house clean for my brother, Sam & his family who are coming to stay with us later this week.

Anybody doing anything fun for Spring Break?

Cool crafts!

A friend brought me over this article yesterday because she knows I LOVE crafty kinds of things.Woolsweaters1

I don't even know what magazine it's out of.

This woman recycles old sweaters into the neatest things.

Glasses cases, hot water bottles, childrens clothing, and the cutest little stuffed animals. Woolsweaters2

Definately makes me wish there were more hours in the day.

Junking with Layle

Dsc_0041 Layle and I had such a good time shopping on Saturday.

Dsc_0012 We hit:

Artichokes, a garden boutique store that I can't remember the name of, Home Again, Pottery Barn, Ward & Child, Harmann's Antiques, Country Home Furniture, several other stores in Gardner Village, Sister's Home & the Pink Door.Copy_of_dsc_0016

Dsc_0029 But our find of the day was a little antique store called ABODE.Dsc_0039

Neither one of us had ever been here before and we found lots of fun things.

We were particularly fond of this fellow...but alas...we had to leave him behind.

Dsc_0054 Dsc_0013 I really wanted this big A...but they weren't selling it. I'll have to go back and see if I can talk them into it.

Dsc_0024 Dsc_0028 Copy_of_dsc_0017 Dsc_0020 Dsc_0031

Isn't this typewriter cool! I want one of these for my living room mantle!

Layle felt the same about this bicycle...she's been looking for a cool bike like this to go in her big back yard. Dsc_0055

This store was filled with neat things. We spent over an hour here and I don't think we saw it all.

We're definately going back!

There was a childrens store that we went into in Gardner Village that had it's jewelry displayed on this old vintage shutter. I loved how they added the knobs and hardware to the shutter.

Dsc_0008 I'll have to see if I can snap so photos of the things I bought and post them this week.

Clones

Ever wish you could clone yourself!

I would definately have one clone to do the laundry and cleaning.

One for the cooking & grocery shopping.

One to keep my yard immaculate & plant some more flowers!

Then I wouldn't feel so guilty spending the day shopping...because that's what my plans are today! (I'm sure I'll forget all about the guilt once I'm in the store...lol!)

Layle and I are spending the day hitting antique stores, one of a kind boutiques & places like Pottery Barn, Artichokes and Restoration Hardware.

She's going to help me find some more things to finish off decorating my house.

So I got up at 5 am (that's actually sleeping in for me) to clean the house, bathe the dogs and do the laundry so I don't feel so guilty!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Redecorating!

Layle Koncar really should have her own interior design firm.Redecore3

She is SO talented and not just in decorating...but that is the reason I enlisted her help recently.

I have LOTS of cool vintage things, many from Timeless Treasures, but I knew that I just wasn't doing them justice the way I had them arranged.

I really should show you a before and after so on the right (below) is a photo I took several months ago. You can see how much less interesting and even cluttered the design looks.Redeco1 Pottingtable2

Redeco3 She thinks of things that I would never come up with like using a pair of vintage cameras as bookends.

Redeco6 Redeco5 She pulled out several of my pieces of art & altered art and made them the focal points.Redeco7 Dsc_0054

She is such a great friend!

Thanks Layle!Dsc_0030 Redecore2 Redecore1

Just Do IT!!!

Redecore6 I say this to my kids.

I mutter it to myself.

It is said mostly when I am procrastinating.

I bought these letters at Timeless Treasures when Layle and I went to San Francisco, but of course I didn't hang them up right away. I procrastinated.

Layle came over last weekend and helped me decide where to put them.

Now they sit right above my computer desk, a constant reminder to stop procrastinating and get something done!Redecore4
