While Ski was home for Spring Break we thought it would be a great time to get another set of family pictures taken
I arranged for Terra from Magnifique Photography to take them just last Friday and I LOVE how they turned out.
This top photo is my very favorite which was taken at the end of the shoot.
And here are some of my other favs:
While changing locations, Ski & Spencer ditched us and went to Wendy's. When they didn't show up at the 2nd location, Terra filled the time by shooting a few pics of Me and Mick and also of Mike and I - as well as snapping a shot of my wayward children when they finally showed up.
She told me I could bring props so I brought books since we all like to read. Ski - who reads 10 times as much as any of the rest of us is the one reading 2 books at the same time.
The 1st picture and this last picture are my very favorites and really capture us - a family filled with boys - always pushing and shoving. I thought that Terra did a fabulous job of really capturing our personalities and quirkiness! Thanks Terra!
Ski (our oldest) is home on Spring Break. We celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday - can't believe he's that old! Mick put together a treasure hunt for him with 21 presents. Spencer baked him a birthday cake.
And there was a raucous game of island ping pong - where you use the kitchen island as the ping pong table. The boys narrowly beat Mike and I at a game of Cranium. We lost due to their superior Gnilleps (spelling backwards) skills.
I love watching the boys all hang out together. Who knew when they kept poking and teasing each other on those family trips long ago that they'd turn out to be such great friends.
I thought I would post my lastest digi kit as well as an altered book I did of our old house. You can see more of the pages here at 2 Peas.
So this past weekend I spent in Madison, Wisconsin at the 2 Peas Anniversary crop!
We had a TON of fun!
First off -KP ( Kelly Purkey ) picked up Kristina Werner (Kdub) & I at the Chicago airport and took us out to eat at a fabulous little restaurant Bluprint in the Merchandise Mart. I had the most amazing salmon I've ever tasted! IT was nirVANA!
Then we hit the renowned cupcake shop MORE!
YUM! I totally want MORE of these!
Their salted caramel cupcake - TO DIE FOR!!!
We met the owner - a super creative woman - who got us to try bacon brittle.
NO...you read that right - it's brittle with bacon in it and chocolate drizzled over the top!
And it is surprisingly good - although you can't eat more that a bit of it because it's so rich.
It's the garnish on her maple bacon cupcakes.
I went a little overboard and bought 2 boxes of the bacon brittle thinking everyone would want to try it...well - I have 1 1/2 boxes left - anyone want to come over and try some bacon brittle?
Then we headed up to Beantown - Madison Wisconsin for the crop.
I met so many fun people at this crop and won them all over with my mad massage skills! :o)
Some of them were even hybrid scrappers who had printed out some of my digi kits and were using them on their pages there. That's was so cool to see!
And BONUS! I got to hang out with KP, KDUB, Shimelle, Melanie, Kristina, Lil', Jamie, Kathy and the cool TECHies from 2Ps!
But I wasn't brave enough to have a jumping picture taken.
The jumping picture is from KP's blog! She took some amazing shots of the whole 2 Ps team jumping!
