I spent this past week at Art & Soul in Las Vegas.
This is my favorite art retreat - a chance to get away and just play!!!
I took 4 fabulous classes from artists whose work inspires me...Lisa Kaus, Sally Jean Alexander and Stephanie Lee.
I'll start with my favorite class and the only class where I actually finished my project, was the 2nd class that I took from Lisa Kaus called "Gridlocked."
Lisa is an amazing artist and a very good instructor.
We used a combo of fluid acrylic paints, water soluble crayons (Lyra), stamps, found objects, nails, screws, tacks and wire on a wooded substrate. When we were done we covered it with beeswax.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this class and can't wait to make many more of these for my house.

You just get more and more magical. Absolutely love it. I just read a great book for my daughter called the "Night Eater" using wax and acrylic in the illustrations. It was a great effect. I love your collage.
