Spencer arrived in Vladivostok, Russia last Wednesday where he is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the next 21 months.
He was only in Vladivostok for two days before he boarded a plane to Irkutsk which is in Siberia approx. 1400 miles away from Vladivostok.
He says it's already below zero and since he planned to buy a coat there he was flying without one. In his words, "I almost died from the cold." He has since purchased a coat and bartered with the shop owner in the process and got it for $40 less than it was marked. Spencer loves to barter and he loves getting a bargin. One of his favorite things about Thailand was that they would barter with him.
He is thrilled to be in Russia finally as says, "I know that this is where I am supposed to be more than ever now and I can see that every day. I love it here and there is no place where I would rather be."
Awesome!
