CHA 2012 - 7Gypsies Train Tickets & Clips

If you like to layer and I most certainly do, then these train tickets are for you. I use them on everything...cards, layouts, shadowboxes, books - I stick them in vintage frogs or clip them in vintage clips. They are so easy to use. The Journal Ticket set has room to write a little somethin, somethin.

The Vintage Ticket set it a little smaller and perfect for stamping on or layering with.

I used the larger train tickets on this layout (right below the arrow). 7Gypsies has so many different shapes and sizes of tags that I wanted to show how you can build an entire layout just around the tags:

Vintage rubber tipped clips! So cool! They remind me of those old clips that you would see in my Nana's closet that held up her skirts or pants.

CHA 2012 7Gypsies Book Board Kits & Shadow Boxes

Book board kits are a staple at 7Gypsies. From making books to avant garde home decor projects they are just perfect. This winter they've come up with 3 new ones:

Shadow box frames take snapshots and turn them into tactile memories. There are 2 new shadowboxes - an 8x8 in wood stain and 12x12 in black.

Another new product that I'm dying to play with are the inserts for the 8x8 shadowbox frame. Paula is a stinkin' genious when it comes to shadowbox frames. I love all the little detail work she puts in. I discover something new everytime I look at it.

Ranjini is so good at thinking outside the box - literally. Here is her insert sans box!

 

Proud mama moment

McKean, our senior, had an interview with Harvard this past weekend. I don't know if he'll get accepted or even go there but it's nice to be considered. All three boys have worked hard in school and we're really proud of them. McKean also won the Sterling Scholar award for Fine Arts for his high school and will find out if he won it for the region in a couple of weeks. Way to go Mick!

CHA 2012 - 7 Gypsies Vintage Book Stand

One of the things I'm most excited about this release is the new 7Gypsies book stand. It's so perfect for displaying a sign or flip style book. I'm thinking I'll need several around the house. One in the kitchen for a book of my favorite recipes. One in the living room to display our most recent travel journal. A couple more for the bathrooms to put cute reminder signs in...like "Do you want to still be eating corn on the cob when you're 50...then brush and floss today!"

The book I did "Keep" is about the trip Ski and I took back East to look at graduate schools. Here are some of the pages:

 

As a side note: Ski has just completed the first semester of his graduate studies (he's getting his PhD in Physics) and enjoys Providence and the campus of Brown. We are so proud of him we puff up like peacocks when talking about his accomplishments.

 

 

 

 

 

CHA 2012 7 Gypsies New Line Trousseau

I need to give a shout out to Paula Cheney and Janelle Smith for their brilliant art direction. They both gave great feedback and really helped me refine POSTALE. The Trousseau Collection was done by the super talented Kerry Lynn Yeary. All three of these ladies are AMAZING designers and engineers of all things vintage. In fact all the 7Gypsies design team members can really rock the vintage. They are:

Winter CHA 2012 7Gypsies Postale Collection

I may have fallen off the grid lately when it comes to blogging but it's not because I've left the industry. I'm super excited to show you the line I designed for 7Gypsies. It's called Postale. It is inspired by vintage letters and other inspiration that I drew from when putting together stationary sets for Spencer and his friends who were getting ready to leave on their missions (to Russia, Denmark & Brazil). I LOVE this collection. 

There are 6 double sided papers in traditional Postale colors - red, white and blue:

Then there are 6 double sided papers in Euro inspired colors - vintage brown, cream & red. This one is called Postale Antiquaries:

We re-worked the best selling 97% complete sticker leaving the favorite phrase strips but adding in a mini alpha making it even more versatile. Another new product that 7Gypsies added to the line up is letter stickers.

These stamps are my new favorites! They work on everything. I especially love the swiss cross with the dotted circle. The paper tape is translucent but it has a paper backing that you can leave on if you want it to be opaque. I love that option.

These little cards add a little pizzazz to all projects. They are 2.5" square and just the right size for adding a bit of journaling. They also make great gift tags. There are 10 different designs.

The coordinating envelopes are 2.75" square and fit perfectly in the mini library drawer.

These journaling cards are 5.75" x 4.75" so they give you a little more room to write your story on. There are also 10 designs and fit just right in the library drawer AND...

they are designed for sending in the mail with the coordinating envelopes. Want to impress someone - send them a little Mail Art goodness. 

There are two new styles of naked library cards. The side tabs style and the scalloped. 

7Gypsies has worked with Tattered Angels to create the perfect blend of mists and paints to add a little ZING into all your projects. The colors are dazzling.
